Description The movement of secondary nuclei in Acetabularia requires microtubules. here is a group of three nuclei. Immendiately after adding colchicine the group of nuclei is still moving. The they separate from one another and stop moving. - Movement of nuclei and cytoplasmic streaming both show the same dependence on microtubules. After removal of the colchicine the group of nuclei immediately starts moving again in the opposite direction.
