Description Circulation in protoplasmic strands, extending through the vacuolar space, can be clearly seen in the staminal filaments of Tradescantia [1]. A circulation is also observed within strands of peripheral protoplasm lining the cell wall [2]. At higher magnification, one can see that the cellular organelles are carried along in the plasma strands. The bright tubular objects are elements of the endoplasmic reticulum [3].
